Ask for a picnic to be set up in the shadow of Tyrconnell Tower with its commanding views of the demesne, fields and forests, then hike or bike to it. In more recent times, it was also home to singer Marianne Faithful and witness to some legendary rock n roll parties – if only walls could talk. I was quite shocked and disappointed by my experience with Carton. Found pre-visit communication left a lot to be desired.

Waited so long for breakfast but it was much worse for bigger group beside us. Asked for more tea(as did the table beside us) when breakfast eventually arrived. Ate breakfast and asked table beside us for condiments as we could not get attention from staff.
